Reporting Your Mission Health Experience

RECLAIM HEALTHCARE WNC is committed to reporting to the federal and state regulatory agencies situations of concern related to poor or inadequate care patients and families have experienced while in any Mission Health facility. These regulatory agencies are charged with ensuring that patients receive safe and quality care at Mission Health.

If you are willing to share your story, you can report it directly to the state and federal regulatory agencies listed below. Or, if you would like us to do so, we have a team of physicians and nurses who can talk to you about your experience and help you with the respective reporting processes.

    The North Carolina Attorney General’s Office has a consumer complaint line, (919) 716-6000 (en Español): (919) 716-0058, and an online complaint form (en Español) where consumers can file complaints about HCA. NOTE: Reports made via the Attorney General’s complaint form is not confidential.

    NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)

    NC DHHS investigates complaints regarding the care and services provided to patients, residents and consumers by healthcare facilities, agencies and homes that are licensed by the Division of Health Service Regulation. Report a complaint online to NC DHHS HERE.

    NOTE: Reporting your story to NC DHHS will automatically submit your report to CMS.

    Center for Medicaid and Medicare

    Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries can file complaints about their healthcare or healthcare provider through the following avenues.

  • The Joint Commission

    The Joint Commission is an accrediting body for hospitals and healthcare organizations. It receives complaints about quality of care and patient safety. Complaints can be filed online with Joint Commission HERE.
