Dr. Scott Joslin left Mission Health in 2023 due to his concerns about the changes in patient care after HCA Healthcare acquired the hospital. Dr. Joslin, who worked at Mission Health for over two decades, expressed his worries about compromised patient care and declining morale among staff due to cuts and changes implemented by HCA.

In this interview with WLOS, he described instances of inadequate staffing in the Emergency Department and expressed concerns about patient safety. Despite his efforts to address these issues, Dr. Joslin ultimately left Mission Health, feeling that he could no longer ensure the quality of care his patients deserved.
